Core Canvas functionality has been restored. UFIT is not aware of any ongoing risk associated with using Canvas at this time.
We are working with Instructure and our third-party tool vendors to work on restoring and validating the full functionality of integrated tools and plugins.
Users may still experience intermittent issues with some third-party integrations as this work is completed. If you detect an external tool not working as intended, please contact e-Learning Support at 352-392-4357 or learning-support@ufl.edu.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
An upgrade to iThenticate 2.0 is scheduled for 05/07/2026.
On this date, access to the current version of iThenticate will end. Please plan for up to 24 hours of downtime while institutional data is migrated. This includes accounts, users and user groups, submissions, similarity reports, and folders.

After the migration is complete, users will receive a “Welcome to iThenticate” email from noreply@turnitin.com. This email will include instructions to activate the new account. - New Access URL
Access to iThenticate will move to a new URL.
The new link will be included in the welcome email:
ufl-ith.turnitin.com
Users will be required to set a new password when accessing iThenticate 2.0 for the first time. - Email Expiration
The activation link in the welcome email will expire after 7 days.
If the link expires, contact Learning Support at learning-support@ufl.edu or 352-392-4357 to have the email resent.

A recent security update to Respondus 4.0 affected how the tool connects to Canvas. The issue has been resolved, but instructors will need to update their settings before publishing or retrieving quizzes in Canvas.
Please follow these steps the next time you use Respondus 4:
- Open Respondus 4 and open the assessment you want to publish
- Go to the Preview & Publish tab
- Select Publish Wizard
- Choose New Quiz or Classic Quizzes
- From the server dropdown, select Add new server
- Select Yes, check for preconfigured settings
- When prompted, enter a new name for the server (do not reuse a previous name)
- Complete the publish process and log in through the Canvas web prompt when prompted
These steps only need to be completed once to re-establish your connection to Canvas.
If you prefer not to reconfigure Respondus, you can also follow the steps in Manual Import of Respondus 4 files into Instructure Canvas and Retrieving questions from Canvas Classic Quizzes.
If you run into any issues, please contact e-Learning Support at 352-392-4357 or learning-support@ufl.edu
